LabKey Deploys Biologics LIMS at Valink Therapeutics for Company-Wide R&D Data Infrastructure

The implementation covers the Biologics LIMS molecular registry, sample management, assay data capture, electronic lab notebooks, and API: a unified R&D data infrastructure deployed across Valink's organization.

Valink Therapeutics is developing a pipeline of complex biologics, including monoclonal antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, bispecifics, and related formats. As the company scaled its research operations, it needed a platform that could manage sequence-level molecular registry, physical sample tracking, experimental data capture, and lab workflow management within a single, configurable environment.

Valink's bioregistry now manages a growing library of multi-component molecule types, protein and nucleotide sequence hierarchies, variable domain structures, and target linkages, with lineage tracking connecting molecular design to physical samples throughout the research workflow. Sample and inventory management covers protein batches, barcoded aliquots, and freezer storage across multiple storage unit types. Assay infrastructure includes plate-based assay designs and instrument data processing. Electronic lab notebooks support experiment documentation, sign-off workflows, and audit compliance across the research team.

Valink's computational team has built Python-based automation on top of LabKey's API layer. This enables programmatic molecule uploads, inventory synchronization, and instrument data integration without vendor-managed customization.
