Detectives Investigate Deadly Shooting in South Seattle

Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left a man and woman deceased in the Rainier valley neighborhood.

Shortly after 2:42 a.m., dispatch received reports of a collision at Martin Luther King Jr. Way South and South Graham Street.

Seattle Fire Department arrived and called police. Officers arrived and found a vehicle that had crashed over the curb. A man and woman inside the vehicle were suffering from gunshot wounds.

Seattle Fire Department medics provided aid to both victims. Despite life-saving efforts, the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. He later succumbed to his injuries and died.

Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene and are working to determine what led up to the shooting.

No suspect is in custody, and detectives are not looking for any outstanding suspects at this time.
